MINISTER INFORMATION: WE WILL ACHIEVE A RECONCILIATION ON TUESDAY
Commenting on the meeting during the week, Minister Bilgin said, “We will reach an agreement on the minimum wages negotiation on Tuesday. We will reach a compromise at a level that our workers expect and our employers can pay.” said.
INFLATION WILL BE DEFINITIVE
Inflation is critical for the minimum wages hike. Statements from the government wing indicate that minimum wage earners will not be crushed by inflation.
TWICE HIGH IN 2022
Last year, the minimum wages increased by 50 percent to 4,253 liras. However, due to the rise in inflation, an interim increase was made in July. With a 30 percent increase in July, the minimum wage rose to 5,500 TL. Thus, the cumulative increase in the minimum wage in 2022 exceeded 90 percent.
HOW MUCH WILL THE MINIMUM FEE BE?
This year, the minimum wage is expected to increase between 40 and 50 percent. The rate of increase spoken in the lobby is in this direction. If the increase is 40 percent, the minimum wages will rise to 7 thousand 700 TL, if a 45 percent increase is made, it will be 7 thousand 975 TL, and if it is 50 percent, it will increase to 8 thousand 250 TL.
